Two intersections in Wrightstown Township are being reviewed by an engineering firm that will report back to municipal officials.

The problematic intersections of Second Street Pike (Route 232) and Penns Park Road, and the intersection of Durham Road (Route 413) and Brownsburg Road are being look at by engineers.

Recently, the Wrightstown Township Board of Supervisors hired engineering consulting firm Pennoni for $4,600 to look at the intersections and offer suggestions.

In the past, the intersections and steps to make them safer have been discussed by municipal officials.

The results of the review of the intersections is expected later this spring.

The township also recently appointed former Tullytown Borough Chief of Police Daniel Doyle as the emergency management coordinator. Doyle presently works for the Bucks County Intermediate Unit on security and safety matters.

“I think Dan Doyle would be a good person for that position,” said Supervisor Robert Lloyd.
