SUV Crashes Into Newtown Store

An SUV crashed into the Ulta Beauty store in the Village of Newtown shopping center Wednesday morning.

The crash caused damage and minor injuries, Newtown Township police said.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when the driver of the SUV failed to stop while attempting to park, crashing through the front glass of the store on South Eagle Road, police said.

Police, along with the Newtown Fire Rescue and Newtown Ambulance Squad, responded to the scene following reports of a vehicle colliding into a building.

The driver, a local woman, was not injured in the crash. However, the collision resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an employee, who was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance. Additionally, a customer present near the crash site sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment, police said.

The Ulta Beauty store was open at the time of the crash.
