Upper Makefield police posed as cowboys Tuesday after a horse was found roaming the township.

Police found the horse on Creamery Road and had assistance from doggy daycare Sit Stay Newtown owner Heather Roberts and Bucks County SPCA police Officer Nikki Thompson as they captured the wayward horse, which was being temporarily housed by Dwight Ely from Ely Farm Products.

As of 4 p.m., police were still trying to track down the owner of the horse.

“We are truly blessed to live in a community that when the cops call for help, people answer,” police said.
