On the 22nd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the public is invited to a number of local remembrance events in the area.

The ceremonies will begin Monday at the Garden of Reflection on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield Township at 8:30 a.m. The ceremony will follow the chronological timeline of September 11 attacks. The victims will be honored and religious leaders will be present.

The Garden of Reflection’s candlelight evening ceremony will not take place this year.

In Tullytown Borough, the community will host its annual remembrance ceremony at the memorial behind the fire station next to Borough Hall on Main Street starting at 7 p.m. U.S. Army Col. Dr. Jonathan Oline will be the guest speaker.

While there won’t be a ceremony, the Edgely Fire Company on Edgely Road in Bristol Township offers a quiet place of a reflection. The fire company’s September 11 memorial is on the side of the station.
