Democratic congressional candidate Shaughnessy Naughton released the first commercial of the 2016 Eighth District Congressional race.
The commercial, titled “Our Families,” focuses on Planned Parenthood funding and fracking in the area.
“As a scientist, I know there’s more Washington can do to help women,” Naughton says in the ad.
The campaign said the ad will air on Philadelphia broadcast and cable stations. The ad is expected to run through the Democratic primary on April 26.
Naughton, a resident of Point Pleasant in Upper Bucks County, is shown at various points in the 30 second spot and provides the narration. At one point, she is seen talking to perspective voters at Max Hansen Carversville Grocery in Solebury.
