By the time last Friday was over, Newtown Township police received reports from 22 residents that their vehicles had been entered overnight.

Among the items stolen were GPS, cash, personal documents and loose change, according to police.

All of the vehicles that were entered were left unlocked overnight, police said.

On Friday, police asked residents who may have been victims to come forward. They said at the time the spree was centered on the Country Bend development off Linton Hill Road near the border with Newtown Borough.

Earlier this year, Lt. Robert Matthews warned residents to lock their vehicles after several thefts.
