Tyler State Park will reopen Friday after being closed since Wednesday morning.

Law enforcement officials confirm that the search for 21-year-old Bensalem resident Lindsey Marie Piccone will continue Friday and portions of the park may remain blocked off as the investigation continues. The park gates will reopen at 8 a.m.

Piccone was reported missing Tuesday and her sedan was found in the parking lot of the state park that covers portions of Newtown Township, Northampton and Wrightstown. Officials confirmed that Piccone did not have her cell phone with her at the time of her disappearance.

Lt. William McVey of the Bensalem Police Department said Piccone is about 5-foot-3, 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a black tank top.

On Wednesday and Thursday, an “exploration” of the Neshaminy Creek within the 1,700-acre state park was completed with no results. Several K-9 teams have assisted crews on the ground and Philadelphia police and Pennsylvania State Police helicopters have been used to search the park.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Ranger Eric Ihlein roughly 50 searchers have been working in the park each day since Tuesday night. Those searchers have been using four-wheelers and vehicles to navigate the large park.

Local police officers have been on alert and keeping an eye out in areas surrounding the park. In Piccone’s hometown of Bensalem, police have been chasing down leads related to the investigation.

DCNR officials said Bensalem police, Bucks County Department of Emergency Services, Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue, Lower Southampton Fire Company, Middletown police, Newtown Ambulance Squad, Newtown Township police, Newtown Fire Association, Northampton police, Northampton Fire Company, PA Wilderness Search and Rescue Team, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia police, Red Rose K-9, Trevose Fire Company and the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad have all been assisting in the search.

Anyone with information on Piccone’s whereabouts is asked to call authorities at 610-982-5411 or 215-633- 3719.
