Search teams continue to spread across Tyler State Park and Bensalem police detectives are hard at work trying to locate 21-year-old Lindsey Marie Piccone.

The Bensalem resident left her home without her cellphone and disappeared early last week. Her car was found at the state park that spans Newtown Township, Northampton and Wrightstown last Tuesday evening, prompting a large search spanning the 1,700-acre state park.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Ranger Eric Ihlein said Monday afternoon that state teams and professional searchers continue to comb Tyler State Park for Piccone. The park reopened last Friday after being closed last Tuesday and Wednesday to allow searchers to focus their efforts.

“Nothing new,” Bensalem police Lt. William McVey said Monday of his department’s investigation into the 21 year old’s disappearance.

Last week, search crews took to the ground, had divers in the Neshaminy Creek and used helicopters with heat-seeking cameras to try to find Piccone at the park.

Piccone’s family and law enforcement have released little details on the circumstances that led to Piccone’s disappearance.

“Lindsay, if you are listening, you are so loved. Your parents love you so much more than I could ever express,” Heather Andrews, a member of Piccone’s family, told reporters last week.

Anyone with information on Piccone’s whereabouts is asked to call authorities at 610-982-5411 or 215-633- 3719.
