35 Firefighters Graduate From Community College

Thirty-five firefighters graduated from the Bucks County Community College’s basic fire academy Tuesday evening.

The 35 firefighters who graduated at the community college’s Newtown Township campus earned national certifications in Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, basic first aid and CPR.

The firefighters training totaled 112 hours during lessons that happened three times a week from August to December.
