PennDOT Names New Maintenance Manager For Bucks County

PennDOT has named its new maintenance manager for Bucks County.

Edward J. Kunkle served as acting county maintenance manager before taking the job on a permanent basis. He will oversee 121 employees who maintain 965 miles of state highway and 660 state-owned bridges.

“Ed is a valued member of our maintenance organization in the Philadelphia region,” PennDOT Assistant District Executive for Maintenance John Krafczyk said. “We are confident that his many years of field and managerial experience will help him successfully direct state maintenance operations in Bucks County.”

PennDOT’s Bucks County unit has a $36.3 million annual maintenance budget.

Kunkle previously worked as assistant highway manager for PennDOT in the county. He began his career with PennDOT in 2000 as a transportation equipment operator trainee.
