Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic enforcement operation on Tuesday in the region, including in Lower Bucks County.

State police from Troop M, which covers Lehigh, Northampton, and Bucks counties, took part in the operation aimed to improve highway safety through “aggressive and visible enforcement.”

The operation resulted in 291 traffic citations, 92 warnings, two driving while DUI arrests, and one traffic stop with a warrant for the driver.

State police said in a statement they consider the operation a success and plan to continue similar enforcement activities to enhance highway safety.

“The department also expressed its gratitude to motorists and the public for their cooperation during the operation and urged everyone to continue to support efforts to improve highway safety,” troopers said in a statement.

State police said they will continue to conduct “rigorous traffic enforcement” in the region.

“The department’s continued efforts towards ensuring the safety of the highways remain steadfast, and it will continue to employ innovative measures to maintain high standards of traffic safety,” troopers said.
