The restaurateur who co-owns Rocco’s At The Brick in Newtown Borough has been tapped to run restaurant operations at the River House at Odette’s in New Hope Borough.

The luxury boutique hotel recently hired Alex Mastoris as the director of restaurant operations for the facility’s signature restaurant, Odette’s.

Mastoris will be in charge of providing all hotel guests with a seamless, elegant dining experience while making sure the dining establishment keeps up high standards, according to the business.

“The addition of Alex Mastoris further elevates the level of culinary talent at River House at Odette’s. Alex’s valuable knowledge of the regional restaurant scene is an asset for our team as we continue to craft a first-rate dining experience for our guests,” said David Myers, general manager at River House at Odette’s.

Under Mastoris’ direction, Odette’s will launch a new menu in June. The menu will feature high-quality steaks, seafood, and authentic house-made pastas, according to the River House at Odette’s.

Mastoris comes to the River House at Odette’s with four decades of experience in the culinary and hospitality industries. He graduated from Cornell University with a master’s degree in hotel and restaurant management.

Prior to being hired to work at the River House at Odette’s, Mastoris founded and co-owned Rocco’s At The Brick Restaurant, a popular steakhouse in Newtown Borough, with Marc Gelman.

“My professional ethos is deeply rooted in the classic foundations of hospitality and restaurant operations, along with a passion for delivering memorable, high-quality dining experiences for patrons of Odette’s,” said Mastoris. “I’m delighted to leverage my extensive background as a leader in the local hospitality and restaurant industries to enhance our guests’ dining experience and guide my staff’s professional development.”

Myers said the River House at Odette’s, which opened in 2020 and became a popular draw in the borough, was looking to hire someone with Mastoris attitude and track record.

“His humble persona coupled with his creative drive makes him the perfect candidate to oversee our esteemed restaurant nestled within New Hope’s one-of-a-kind community,” said Myers.
