Get Ready To Laugh: Comedy Extravaganzas Set For Weekend

You never know who is going to show up to do a guest set and work out new material.

The Comedy Works Bristol (located inside Georgine’s Restaurant) presents Weekend Comedy Shows on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20, 2023. Both shows start at 8 PM.

The show will headline Comedian, Carie Karavas in an exclusive Comedy event with her Comedy friends, Christian John, Fat Jay, Joe Corella and Dan Loracco who make up some of the best Comics from Governor’s Comedy Club in Long Island, NY.

Carie Karavas is a tough woman with a street wise personality who knows working as a stand-up Comic takes more than making a lot of money. You have to be funny and clever on stage before a club audience of a few to more than a packed theater waiting to be entertained. She’s been there and has finally made it to her first network TV special “Men, Flaws and Menopause,” on the “Amazon Prime Network” and “Crackle TV Network”.

For her it’s been a long time since her first Comedy class at the infamous Comedy Club “The Comic Strip” in New York City in the late 1980’s. Since then she has appeared all over New York including the prestigious Comedy Clubs in Manhattan like the Comedy Cellar and Dangerfield’s. She’s also a regular at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Las Vegas. She has been featured at the world famous Montreal Comedy Festival and appeared on the CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait”

As Carie say’s “Don’t worry about the money. Worry about the laughs. Be friends with everyone. Someone from your group is going to hit. They may not become famous but those people will lead you to the next step and the next opportunity to make people laugh.”

Also on the show will be feature acts that also headline some of the top Comedy Clubs at Governor’s Comedy Club on Long Island and New York City.
