The Lululemon Popup store in the Village at Newtown shopping center on Eagle Road will become a permanent location.

The high-end athletic wear and accessories chain temporarily closed its location next to the FP Movement store over the past week and will temporarily move into the Pier 1 Imports location at 2807 South Eagle Road.

A sign outside the former Pier 1 Imports store said the Lululemon Popup will reopen on Wednesday.

A customer who spoke to Lululemon staff told NewtownPANow.com that the company will reopen sometime in the future at its popup location will be replaced with a permanent store at the same location.

Similar information circulated Tuesday on the Newtown, PA Facebook group.

An employee at another store in the Village at Newtown said staff at Lululemon had been seen filling the temporary location with merchandise all week. They noted a dumpster was placed outside over the weekend to accommodate the unpacking.

In the future, the former Pier 1 Imports store will be converted into a new 8,500 square-foot Capital Grille.

This news organization reported earlier this year that Capital Grille officials expect to open by late summer of 2024.

A liquor license notice for the upscale eatery and bar was posted in the window of the space Tuesday.

Lululemon is a Canadian retailer with more than 650 locations around the globe.

In June, Lululemon reported revenue of $2 billion and a 14 percent increase in sales. The company aims to bring in revenue of $12.5 billion by 2026.
