Upper Makefield Township is set to repave several municipal roads this summer.

Last month, the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors’ voted to hire Harris Blacktopping Inc. for the project at a cost of $604,813.30.

The work will include repaving sections of Brownsburg Road East, Scott Drive, Creamery Road, and Meadowview Drive. Additional paving will also be conducted at the Heritage Hills treatment plant, said Amanda Fuller, the township engineer.

The township received seven bids for the paving project, with Harris Blacktopping Inc. submitting the lowest bid.

The project’s cost came in $250,000 under the amount budgeted by the township, Township Manager David Nyman said.

In addition to the paving work, the supervisors approved a motion for the township engineer to develop bid specifications for sediment and debris removal at Houghs Creek.
