A vehicle wanted in connection with a number of mail thefts in Bucks County and nearby counties was spotted in Upper Makefield Township last Friday.

The black 2018 to 2022 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC has been tied to several mail thefts in Bucks County municipalities and across Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester counties within the last two weeks, police said.

Solebury Township police warned of the vehicle last week, and Newtown Township police released information on a similar car last month.

Upper Makefield Township officers spotted the vehicle in the Timber Ridge development last Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

“Once again the vehicle fled from our attempts to stop it, and it was last seen heading into New Jersey via the Washington Crossing Bridge,” Upper Makefield Township police said.

The car has dark-tinted windows on all sides.

According to police, they have identified multiple Pennsylvania registrations for the car, including the most recent tag, MNW5789, and previously LKR2270 and MLG9857.

Mail thefts have been reported throughout the area in recent weeks, police said.

Anyone who spots the vehicle can call 9-1-1. Those with information on the thefts, the vehicle, or the various plates has been asked to contact Solebury Township police via their CrimeWatch site or at 215-328-8511.
