Former President Donald Trump will visit a Lower Bucks County McDonald’s restaurant Sunday as part of his campaign for the White House.

The wealthy businessman and former TV host is expected to visit the McDonald’s on Street Road in Lower Southampton Township, according to multiple sources familiar with the plan. However, one noted final details were still being confirmed.

Trump’s campaign is also looking to do another event Sunday in Bucks County, but no further details have emerged as of Thursday morning.

The Trump campaign didn’t comment, but a person close to the campaign stated the former president will be visiting a fast food restaurant in the Philadelphia area Sunday.

“I’m going to work the french fry job for about a half an hour,” Trump told a rally crowd recently, according to Yahoo News. “I want to see how it is.”

Earlier this week, a CNN journalist first reported that Trump planned to visit a McDonald’s location to counter statements by Vice President Kamala Harris that she had worked a summer job at McDonald’s when she was younger.

A source with knowledge of the stop said Trump campaign staff and the U.S. Secret Service would be at the Lower Southampton Township fast food spot Thursday to plan for the visit, which will not be open to the public.

Trump’s visit has been in the works since last week, as this news organization reported last Friday.

The weekend campaign swing to Bucks County follows Harris’ rally at Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield Township that took place on Wednesday.

Trump last visited Bucks County in April for a high-dollar fundraiser in Newtown Township, while his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, was in the area last month. Trump campaigned in the county in 2016 and 2020.
