Police Increased Presence At Council Rock High School North

The threat was deemed not credible.

As police rushed to Council Rock High School South for a report of a threat Wednesday afternoon, Newtown Township police increased their presence at Council Rock High School North.

After an investigation, Northampton Township police cleared Council Rock High School South and found the threat no credible, but an increased police presence remained at at Council Rock High School North.

Patch.com reported the incident was one of suspected swatting and led to a 34-minute lockdown.

Parents shared images of worried text messages from the children in Council Rock High School South, including officers with rifles.

The incident follows a non-credible threat that happened last week at Pennsbury High School and a trespasser who was arrested at that high school Tuesday.
