The Middletown Township Police Department said the southbound lane of Langhorne-Newtown Road (Route 413) is open.
The northbound lane remains closed as of 5 p.m.

A busy section of Langhorne-Newtown Road (Route 413) was shut down Wednesday morning after a contractor struck a gas line in Middletown Township.

Crews from the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company and the Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene across from the George School around 11 a.m.
Due the dangers associated with gas leaks, the Middletown Township Police Department and fire police closed Route 413 between the Newtown Bypass and Tollgate Road.
The thoroughfare remained closed as of 1:15 p.m., according to reports from readers.
PECO crews were seen in the vicinity working to address the leak.
Hours before the line was struck, workers had been performing underground utility work in the immediate area.
