On Tuesday, the Aérospatiale AS 355F2 Écureuil 2 helicopter owned by inspection company Catalysis Aviation flew over Newtown Township, Upper Makefield Township, and other parts of Lower Bucks County.

Additional inspections in Lower Bucks County are planned.

PECO officials said the chopper may hover briefly when inspectors need to take a closer look at electrical equipment.

The low-flying helicopter drew attention on the ground and on social media as it flew over.

“The inspections help identify potential issues and support the safe and reliable operation of the electric system,” said PECO spokesperson Candice Womer.
