The historic Newtown Theatre on State Street will be hosting an Independent Film Night next week.
Independent Film Night will be held Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. The night will feature a variety of short movies from local filmmakers, some of whom will present a brief introduction and take questions.
The event is free but donations will be accepted. The content of some of the films may be inappropriate for children.
Independent Film Night night is a first for the theater.
