A Newtown man was arrested last Wednesday after Pennsylvania State Police allege he stole boxes of Legos.

Eric Joseph Moffatt, 44, was stopped along Rockhill Drive by the Route 1 on-ramp around 11:15 a.m. after a trooper noticed his head was down and he was walking with three large boxes of Legos and a black backpack, according to a press release.

As Trooper Lee Nolan pulled over, Moffatt immediately tried to turn over the boxes of Legos, which were worth about $160, state police said.

Moffatt reportedly admitted to stealing the Legos from the Barnes and Noble at the Neshaminy Mall.

Troopers said Moffatt was also found with drug paraphernalia.

Moffatt was charged with multiple counts of retail theft and the possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $30,000.

Editor’s Note: All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The story was compiled using information from police and public court documents.
