Police Log: Teens Out Late, Business Owner Finds Unauthorized Transactions On Card & More

Suspicious Persons

At approximately 1:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of the Chandler Ball Fields on South Sycamore Street for a report of an occupied vehicle.  The responding officer made contact with the two juveniles in the vehicle.  Both of the juveniles had junior drivers licenses so their parents were notified to pick them up.

Fraud

A resident of Newtown Township called police around 10:30 p.m. to reported by phone that he discovered about $300 of unauthorized charges on his debit card within the last two days.  The fraudulent charges were all made in Philadelphia within the last two days.  The victim advised his bank; they have closed the account and will be issuing another card.

Fraud

At approximately 8:30 a.m., a Newtown Township business owner came to police headquarters to report that he received notification from his bank of unauthorized transactions on his business debit card.  The victim confirmed that the card was in his possession at all times.  The bank has cancelled the card and is working on crediting the loss back to the victim.
