Firefighters responded to a smokey scene on North State Street in Newtown Borough Saturday morning.
Crews were called to the Newtown Laundry Company around 7:30 a.m. for a reported fire. According to a Facebook post by the Newtown Fire Association, firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the laundromat and quickly put down any flames.
Firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown, Northampton and Yardley-Makefield fire companies assisted Newtown volunteers at the scene. The Newtown Ambulance Squad also responded to the scene.
