Bucks County officials again advised residents to keep a cell phone nearby in case of emergency but added that Xfinity Voice Edge and Comcast Business phone service has returned for most customers.
The county put out a warning Wednesday evening and told residents with the phone service to keep cell phones nearby in case they need to call 9-1-1. They noted on Thursday that the majority of the phone outage has had service restored, but pockets with problems remain.
“Most areas are able to go back to normal use/9-1-1 use on their Xfinity Voice phone, but please keep your cell phone nearby, just in case, for the time being,” officials said.
Comcast Business stated on their Twitter account that “phone services for most customers have been restored. Unfortunately, a small group continue to see issued.”
