This weekend, a sobriety checkpoint will be manned by state troopers from the Trevose barracks somewhere in Lower Bucks County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the checkpoint will take place at an undisclosed location in the area late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
At the checkpoint, law enforcement will stop vehicles briefly to observe drivers for behaviors normally associated with drug or alcohol impairment, a statement said.
The location of state police checkpoints is almost never released to media or area residents ahead of time.
A multi-department DUI checkpoint earlier this month on the Newtown Bypass led to eight arrests.
