Celebrate George Washington’s Birthday This Sunday

George Washington is turning 288 years.

Washington Crossing Historic Park in Upper Makefield will celebrate Washington’s birthday Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The buildings and historic village will be open and various children’s activities will be offered.

Reenactors will will be present and Washington , who is portrayed by Middletown resident and Langhorne Borough police Chief John Godzieba, will cut into his birthday cake with his sword.

Admission to the event is free.

Washington was born on February 22, 1732.
