Thousands Of Dollars In Damage To Property After Hit-&-Run Crash

The Newtown Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that caused significant damage to a homeowner’s fence Tuesday in Wrightstown Township.

The Newtown Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that caused significant damage to a homeowner’s fence Tuesday in Wrightstown Township.

The crash happened on Swamp Road near Apple Hill Road between 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., police said.

According to the police, it is believed that a large SUV or truck traveling south on Swamp Road drove onto the homeowner’s property, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

The SUV or truck left the scene without notifying the owner, police said.

The department has urged anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to reach out to Officer Thomas Rawa at 215-579-1000 ext. 333.
