Students in the Council Rock School District donated a wreath in honor of fallen Temple University Police Department Officer Christopher Fitzgerald.
On Thursday morning, Northampton Township police officers visited the district’s STAR Center to be presented with the wreath.
The students that are part of the STAR Center’s ACHIEVE program, which works with young people with special needs, presented the wreath to officers.
The police officers often visit the school’s Starboro Cafe, speak with students, and have even driven popsicles to the school on a warm day.
“The relationship the ACHIEVE students have built with the Northampton PD is significant,” the district said.
Fitzgerald was murdered while on duty last weekend and his services were held Friday. The funeral drew a large contingent of officers from around Bucks County.
Council Rock’s STAR Center opened in Northampton Township in 2021 and draws students from around the district.
