March 4

Bad Checks

A Newtown Township resident contacted police at 11 a.m. to report receiving worthless checks for services rendered. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

March 5

DUI

At approximately 1:45 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Washington Crossing Road and Stoopville Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

March 6

Fraud

A Wrightstown Township resident contacted police around 2:30 p.m. to report a cryptocurrency fraud. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

March 7

Assault

Police were dispatched to a Wrightstown Township residence around 1:30 a.m. for the report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, one subject was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment.

DUI Crash

At approximately 7 p.m. police were dispatched to South Sycamore Street in the area of WSFS Bank for the report of a single-vehicle traffic accident. As a result of the investigation, the operator is suspected of driving under the influence, and charges are pending.

March 9

Burglary

At approximately 9 a.m., police were dispatched to Bed Bath & Beyond for the report of a burglary. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
