The name of the woman killed in a violent crash last Friday evening in Wrightstown Township was released Friday.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck has identified the victim as Elisabeth Burnett-Martin, 49, of Northampton Township. She died of “multiple injuries” as a result of the crash.

The crash occurred on Worthington Mill Road in the area of Mud Road last Friday at around 5:35 p.m., according to Newtown Township police, who patrol Wrightstown Township.

The initial investigation revealed that the driver of a 2019 Audi traveling east on Worthington Mill Road lost control of their vehicle while negotiating a bend in the road towards Durham Road. The driver was unable to regain control of the car, which subsequently hit a 2017 Subaru traveling in the opposite lane on Wrightstown Road, police said.

Burnett-Martin, who was driving the Subaru, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.

She was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township, but later succumbed to her extensive injuries.

The 17- and 18-year-old men in the Audi received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
