Police Log: Assault Arrest, A Theft That Wasn’t & More

June 3

Theft

At approximately 2 p.m., police were dispatched to a business located in Wrightstown Township for the report of a theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

June 9

Reported Theft

At approximately 9:45 a.m., police were contacted by a Newtown Township resident about a theft. As a result of the investigation, the theft was determined to be unfounded.

June 10

Arrest

Police conducted a traffic stop on a KIA sedan operator at approximately 9:30 pm for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of State Street. As a result of the investigation, the operator was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant out of Falls Township. The subject was transported to Falls Township Police Department without incident.

June 12

Assault

Shortly after 2:45 a.m., police were contacted in regards to an assault that occurred at a Newtown Township residence. As a result of the investigation, one subject was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault. The subject was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

June 13

Stolen Vehicle

At approximately 9 a.m., police were dispatched to a Wrightstown Township business for the report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Fraud

At approximately 12:15 p.m., police were contacted by a Newtown Township resident in reference to fraud. The resident explained that she received a letter in the mail from PennDOT notifying her of an address change on her driver’s license. The resident resolved the matter with PennDOT and also contacted her bank and the credit bureaus about her identity being compromised. There was no other suspicious activity found and no financial loss occurred.
