The Council Rock School District has approved a Property Tax and Rental Rebate Program and is holding community information sessions.

The Council Rock School Board in June gave the green light to a Property Tax and Rental Rebate Program aimed at providing financial relief to eligible district residents.

To be eligible for this program, taxpayers must meet specific criteria based on the Pennsylvania Property Tax rebate program, officials said.

The program is administered by the Council Rock School District

To make access to information more convenient, the district has provided the criteria, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and application forms on their website for download.

For those who prefer paper copies, they are available in the Council Rock District Offices’ lobby located at 30 North Chancellor Street in Newtown Borough.

To promote community awareness about the rebate program, Council Rock School District officials will host a series of public community information sessions.

The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 9, at 7 p.m. at the Village Library of Wrightstown, 727 Penns Park Road.

Another session will be held on Tuesday, August 22, at 3 p.m. at the Northampton Township Senior Center, 165 Township Road in Northampton Township.

District residents interested in understanding the rebate program can visit the district’s website, or contact the District Business Offices directly at 215-944-1040.
