A two-vehicle collision and fire occurred Saturday on the Newtown Bypass at South State Street and Langhorne-Yardley Road.

The crash happened just past 12:05 p.m. on the border between Newtown Township and Middletown Township.
Shortly after the collision, one of the involved vehicles erupted into flames. Both vehicles sustained significant damage from the impact and subsequent fire.
Newtown Township Fire-Rescue was called to the scene and extinguished the fire.

The Newtown Ambulance Squad arrived to provide medical assistance. Only minor injuries were reported.
Following the crash, both Newtown Township and Middletown Township police were at the scene and directed traffic around the crash.
