An Upper Makefield Township woman suffered a minor injury in a crash along I-295 over the weekend.

The 32-year-old woman behind the wheel of a Honda Civic was driving along I-295 westbound in Middletown Township when she lost control on the off-ramp to East Lincoln Highway as she navigated a curve on Sunday just past 3 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said.

The Honda traveled along the shoulder before exiting the ramp and crashed into a ditch and wooded area nearby, state police said.

The car came to rest on its driver’s side, state police said.

Medics responded to the scene, but the 32-year-old woman refused treatment for a suspected back injury, troopers said.

State police said they plan to cite the woman with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
