Upper Makefield Lawman Leaves For County Detectives

The detective began working in Upper Makefield in 2012.

An Upper Makefield Township police detective has left the department to join the Bucks County Detectives.

Township Detective Jeff Jumper worked his final shift for the municipal police department on Wednesday.

Jumper will be joining the Bucks County Detectives, an agency that is part of the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Jumper’s began working in the Upper Makefield Township Police Department in 2012. He rose through the ranks and by 2017, he was promoted to the title of detective.

Jumper previously worked as an officer in Bristol Borough.

“Given how he has served our department and our residents over these past 6 years, we know he will be an asset to the Bucks County Detectives. So please join us in thanking him for his service with Upper Makefield and wishing him well in his new endeavor!” police said in a social media post.
