Emergency Crews Respond To Off-Road Traumatic Injury In Upper Makefield

Emergency services, including the Newtown Ambulance Squad’s Upper Makefield unit, were dispatched Tuesday morning following reports of a traumatic injury.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. in the 900 block of River Road.

The patient was found in a challenging location that inaccessible through conventional means, according to a Facebook post from the ambulance squad.

The incident prompted a response from the ambulance squad, Upper Makefield Township Police Department, the Upper Makefield Fire Company, and the New Hope Eagle Fire Company.

Specifics about the nature of the injury and its circumstances remain unclear.

“We thank the Upper Makefield Township Police Department, and the Upper Makefield Fire Department for assisting in moving and removing the patient from a difficult location. We also thank the New Hope Eagle Fire Company who had a UTV at-the-ready if needed,” the ambulance squad said.
