The storm will impact the area from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning and afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said there will be 2 to 3 inches of rain, with up to 4 inches possible in some areas.
A line of isolated thunderstorms and severe wind and heavy rain could be move through Sunday afternoon and evening.
There is the chance of urban, small stream, and poor drainage flooding.
A Flood Watch has been issued for the area.
Strong winds will move into the area, bringing gusts as high as 30 to 40 mph.
“Strong winds may result in downed trees and power lines resulting in scattered power outages,” forecasters said.
While the Poconos are forecasted to see some snow from the storm on Monday, the temperatures won’t be cold enough for measurable snow in the areas closer to Philadelphia and Trenton. However, some flurries could occur in Bucks County.
The rain is expected to move out Monday morning, and the winds will begin to die down in the afternoon hours.
After a high just above 60 degrees on Sunday, high temperatures for the rest of the week will be in the 40s.
