A woman has been charged after she allegedly took down Palestinian flags from a property along Second Street Pike in Wrightstown Township.

In court papers reviewed by NewtownPANow.com, Newtown Township police, who patrol Wrightstown Township, reported responding to a home in the 2000 block of Second Street Pike after a 9-1-1 call was received on the morning of October 23. The caller kept repeating, “Why are you cutting down my flags?”

A Newtown Township officer arrived at the scene and the resident reported he was working on an electrical box behind a bush near the roadway when he watched a woman tearing down Palestinian flags he had placed along Second Street Pike, court papers stated.

The resident said he placed the flags as a show of solidarity with his native land, Palestine.

Israel and Hamas, a terrorist group that operates out of Palestine, have been engaged in a war since a surprise attack on Israel on October 7. Israel has lost more than 1,200 citizens and Palestine has lost thousands more in the bloody conflict that continues.

According to police, the resident reported seeing a woman pull off the roadway and pull down the Palestinian flags that were hanging along his property.

The resident confronted the woman and she allegedly stated “you guys are murderers, killers” and then called the resident a “f**king Muslim terrorist,” police said.

The resident captured a photo of woman’s vehicle and license plate, police said.

An officer spoke with the woman – identified as Alla M. Belinskiy, 50, of Northampton Township – and she reportedly admitted she was involved in an argument along Second Street Pike. She stated she did not agree that the man was supporting Palestine, police said.

Belinskiy was charged with ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief. She waived her preliminary hearing in the case this month before District Judge Mick Petrucci to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas for trial.

Belinskiy was free as of Friday on $10,000 unsecured bail.

National groups have stated that there has been a rise in hate incidents involving people of the Jewish and Muslim faiths in recent months due to the conflict. A Newtown Township synagogue recently dealt with a bomb threat.
