After a rainy Tuesday, the National Weather Service is calling for more rain on Wednesday.

Forecasters said an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain expected through Wednesday night.

The additional rain raises concerns for areas with poor drainage, the National Weather Service’s regional office said.

Wednesday’s storm is not only bringing rainfall, but it is also expected to be accompanied by high winds, with gusts reaching up to 39 mph.

The National Weather Service also anticipates the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms. The storms could unleash large hail, damaging winds, and even tornadoes.

There is a chance for spotty minor flooding along the Delaware River due to all the rain.
