The Upper Makefield Fire Company is inviting the community to its annual benefit carnival.
The carnal will kick off Tuesday evening and will run through Saturday at the historic Washington Crossing Park. The carnival is held daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event promises a week filled with the joyful sounds of families and the sweet aroma of funnel cakes.
This year’s festivities are located at the Valley of Concentration within the park. Visitors can enter at 1211 River Road (Route 32) at the flagpole. Signs and cones will guide them to the nearby soccer fields.
Originally hosted at the Taylorsville Road firehouse and an adjacent field in the now-developed River Knoll neighborhood in 1979, the carnival found its permanent home at Washington Crossing Historic Park a few years after its start.
Tickets are on sale at the carnival and online.
