Newtown Police Investigate Theft Of $1,600 In Cosmetics From CVS

Police are seeking to ID the suspect.

The Newtown Borough Police Department is investigating the theft of cosmetics from the CVS Pharmacy on Lincoln Avenue.

The incident occurred on April 10 and resulted in the loss of over $1,600 worth of cosmetics.

According to police, CVS surveillance video captured on April 10 around 2:30 p.m. shows a woman exiting a SEPTA bus and entering the store. The footage shows the woman placing various items into her black bag and cargo pants.

After the theft, the woman then exits the store without paying and reboards the SEPTA bus, police said.

The theft was reported to the police on April 24 after a review of the surveillance video and inventory by CVS staff.

The Newtown Borough Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify the individual involved in this theft. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department via CrimeWatch.
