The Newtown Rotary Club will hold its 34th Annual Golf Outing next month at the Trenton Country Club.
The June 10 event will continue the Newtown Rotary Club’s long-standing tradition of supporting Pickering Manor, a non-profit life plan and continuing care retirement community.
The day’s schedule includes breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and is followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The outing concludes with cocktails, lunch, a silent auction, and an awards ceremony. The registration fee is $350 per person, with various sponsorship opportunities available.
The event is now in its 34th year and has become a cornerstone of support for Pickering Manor.
In 2023, the outing generated nearly $30,000 for Pickering Manor.
David Woodhead, CEO of Pickering Manor, emphasized the importance of these contributions.
“We are beyond thankful for the generous donations from the Newtown Rotary and all those who supported the 2023 Golf Outing, without which, we wouldn’t have been able to fulfill our vision of creating a warm and inviting clubhouse space tailored to enrich the lives of our Cottage Residents,” said David Woodhead, CEO of Pickering Manor.
Reflecting on the partnership with the Newtown Rotary Club, Woodhead said the group’s focus on “service above self” is clear.
“We are truly grateful for their ongoing support, their loyalty as ambassadors of Pickering Manor for so many decades is deeply, deeply appreciated,” he added.
Pickering Manor staff expressed gratitude to the Newtown Rotary Club Golf Committee for their fundraising efforts.
As a token of appreciation, Pickering Manor provided the committee with a sit-down lunch recently.
