Council Rock Newtown Little League Celebrates Back-To-Back Wins

The Council Rock Newtown Little League team fights to continue their winning streak at the Little League World Series.


The Council Rock Newtown Little League team clinched back-to-back victories over the weekend at the Little League World Series.

The team’s two wins follow an initial defeat last week.

After suffering a 9-0 loss to the Southwest team on Wednesday, Council Rock Newtown rebounded with a 5-0 win against Salem, New Hampshire, on Friday evening.

The team continued its winning streak on Sunday The team overcame the Puyallup, Washington, team with a decisive 12-2 victory, ending the game in just four innings by mercy rule.

Council Rock Newtown is scheduled to play their next game on Tuesday, August 20, at Lamade Stadium. The opponent will be announced later, with the game set to begin at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The team features Rocco DaBronzo, Brayden Peiffer, Brody Gage, Greyson Gage, Nick Schiller, Dean Hamilton, Will Siveter, Gavin Caudill, Ryan Uhl, Saverio Longo, Tyler Neeld, Tyler Wexler, Wes Esteves, Manager Brad Hamilton, Coach Doug Peiffer, and Coach Kyle Neeld.
