Fall is a great time to harvest new career opportunities. In fact, a recent survey showed that 52 percent of U.S. companies with 20 or more employees said they are planning to hire for new permanent positions in the second half of the year.
Job seekers can search for their dream career at the Bucks County Fall Job Fair, which will be held on Sept. 25 at Oxford Valley Mall.
Hosted by RecruitmentQueen, the career fair features a wide array of positions in various industries, including health care, human service, customer service, security and more. Several dozen local employers and hiring managers are expected to attend. Applicants will have the opportunity to ask employers specific questions about job openings, benefits available and what type of work environment they could anticipate.
Held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the career fair will feature hundreds of positions from numerous employers, including Woods Services, Bayada, Salute2Service, AHEAD: Home Healthcare Services, The Giant Company, The Nutrition Group, New Century Home Care and SnapCab.
“Many companies start hiring for the new year in the fall, and September and October are often the last months of the year with increased hiring,” RecruitmentQueen President and Founder Jennifer Schultz said. “In addition, managers returning from vacation may reevaluate their goals and decide they need more staff before the holidays, making our job fair the ideal time to seek out these new opportunities.”
The most important aspect of attending a job fair is the advantage of talking directly to an employer, or hiring manager, which you normally would not get to do, unless you were selected for an interview.
