Nighttime Snow To Bring Little Accumulation

Some snow is on the way.

Forecasters predict a coating to an inch of snow from Friday night into Saturday morning in the area.

The National Weather Service forecasts that any overnight accumulation will be an inch or less with clouds clearing Saturday.

The bulk of the snow from the upcoming storm is expected to fall south of the Philadelphia area.

Earlier this week, a separate storm system brought approximately 3 inches of snow to the county and impacted travel and schools.

Below is the forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 35. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Friday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday: A slight chance of snow before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 35. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 24. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 39. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 24.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 30.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 29.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17.
