If you were at the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory parade last Friday in Philadelphia, you may have noticed some police officers with familiar patches.
Lower Bucks County officers were among the city, state, and federal law enforcement officials working the miles-long victory celebration that drew an estimate one million fans.
Motorcycle officers from Bensalem Township, Lower Makefield Township, Middletown Township and Newtown Township police departments joined Philadelphia police motorcycle units to escort the Lombardi Trophy and Eagles players along the parade route.
“After stealing it from Jalen Hurts … nah just kidding. MTPD motors got to help the Eagles today at their parade and got their few seconds of glory holding the Lombardi Trophy,” Middletown Township police posted on Facebook.
The Bucks County Major Incident Response Team, which is comprised of officers, deputies and rangers from across the county, also deployed to Center City for crowd control.

The team sent 35 officers at daybreak Friday from Bucks County and worked the big celebration, according to Langhorne Borough Police Chief John Godzieba.
Bucks County police agencies have a history of assisting with Eagles-related events in Philadelphia, including recent post-game celebrations, the 2018 victory parade and the 2017 NFL Draft.
