The second “No Kings” protest of the year in Lower Bucks County is scheduled for this week.
The rally will happen Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at Williamson Park in Morrisville Borough.
The event is expected to draw demonstrators from around the area to “object to the disruptive and damaging policies of the Trump Administration,” according to an announcement from organizers.
“No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings,” the national protest website reads. “On October 18, millions of us are rising again to show the world: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.”
The Lower Bucks County rally will be one 2,500 planned around the nation.
The protest is hosted by a coalition of groups including Indivisible of Bucks County, Yardley Indivisible, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Human Rights Campaign, and Social Security Works.
“Donald Trump and his enablers have hurt working Americans, terrorized our immigrant communities, and overreached their constitutional authority,” said Laura Rose, event emcee and co-leader of hosting organization Indivisible Bucks County. “We must all stand up to this betrayal of American values and ensure the rights of all are upheld. We will join our voices in peaceful opposition to Trump’s actions and priorities, and display our support for the foundational principles of equality, freedom, and constitutional checks and balances.”
The event will feature several speakers, including State Sen. Steve Santarsiero, who chairs the Bucks County Democratic Committee, several Democratic county row officer candidates, and Bucks County Commissioner Chairperson Bob Harvie, who is running for Congress as a Democrat.
“Democracy isn’t about power for a few — it’s about serving the many,” Harvie said. “When leaders act like they’re above the law or above the people they serve, they weaken the very foundation of this country, ‘No Kings’ means remembering that no one — not presidents, politicians, not billionaires – is beyond accountability.”
Santarsiero stressed the importance of speaking out.
“We can’t allow what President Trump is doing to become normalized,” Santarsiero said. “That’s why speaking out to defend democracy is so important.”
Other speakers include several Democratic county row office candidates and civil rights advocates.
“This country was founded on the bold idea that the will of the people comes before power, and that leadership is not inherited; rather, it is earned and it is held accountable,” said Bucks County Clerk of Courts Eileen Hartnet Albillar. “For decades our country was a beacon of hope and inspiration. We used to lead the world in human rights. This administration is not leadership — it is tyranny in disguise. We are standing up together to defend what so many fought and died for… Our dissent is our duty.”
The protest will also feature a performance by Karen Rodriguez, who will sing patriotic songs including “The National Anthem,” “America the Beautiful,” and “God Bless America.”

Organizers said participants will have signs, a 20-foot-tall inflatable Elon Musk figure, a crafting area, a life-size cutout of Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick at a photo booth, and American flags and swag.
The spring No Kings rally drew thousands of people along the Newtown Bypass.
