PennDOT crews will be out across the region this week to repair deteriorating pavement and patch potholes.
The seasonal maintenance blitz is expected to impact several state roads in Bucks County.
According to PennDOT, work crews will be active on the following roadways Durham Road (Route 413) in Buckingham, Wrightstown, and Newtown townships; Pineville Road in Upper Makefield Township; and Stoney Hill Road and Lindenhurst Road in Lower Makefield and Newtown townships.
Drivers traveling through these areas should anticipate periodic daytime lane closures and potential traffic delays.
The repair push comes after maintenance teams have spent weeks addressing road damage triggered by winter weather.
Since Jan. 1, PennDOT District 6, which oversees state roads in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, has utilized more than 1,365 tons of asphalt to fill craters and smooth surfaces.
The agency reported it has fielded more than 6,000 customer concerns regarding potholes since the start of the year.
This week alone, crews are scheduled to perform repairs on more than 30 state roadways throughout the five-county Philadelphia region.
PennDOT officials are asking drivers to report pothole locations through the agency’s customer care portal at customercare.penndot.pa.gov or by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
