The last Thursday of every month, Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Upper Makefield holds an Unattended Veterans Service.
The special ceremony, according to an employee of the cemetery, starts at 1:45 p.m. Veterans interred with no one in attendance at their services will be honored. The veterans names will be read aloud, a rifle salute will be performed and Taps will be played.
The public and members of all faiths are invited to attend.
The cemetery is located at 830 Highland Road in Upper Makefield (Newtown.)
